Our Annual Meeting is coming up soon, but a few updates before then:

1. Creekview HOA Website Issue: We wanted to let everyone know that we recently had some exposures of information on the creekviewhomeowners.com website.  Some homeowner information was exposed when you Google the name (e.g. Teri Pratt)  and the results took you to that person's entry in the homeowners database.   It happened only to those entries that were queried or viewed in the site over the past 30 days.  These entries were cached on the site.   Google indexed the site's cached files inadvertently.

We engaged our webmaster who then used multiple search site tools from Google, Bing, etc. "urgently remove content from Google Search" and submitted a cache clear for all the entries to remove the "snippets" that appear after the title (this is the small paragraph summary).   Once the root case was uncovered, our webmaster re-enabled the site.  During the course of investigating the queries, it showed that very few actual queries were made during the time the homeowner information was visible with those being by homeowners, the board or our webmaster.

The section that lists the homeowners was password protected and has been since we've had the site.  A transition in software caused the issue. We have now further password protected each entry.

We appreciate the homeowners who contacted us to let us know this had occurred so that we could take action to rectify the situation. If you would like a more in-depth, technical description of what occurred, please send an email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  If you saw this previously, please clear your cache before searching again.  If anything looks incorrect, please send us an email to let us know.

A big thank you to our webmaster as well (Teri Pratt) as everyone knows it is not easy being a small entity dealing with Google or Microsoft to get issues resolved!

2. Drive Safely: A reminder that school is out which means more of our neighborhood kids on sidewalks, crossing streets, riding bikes, etc.  Please use caution in our neighborhood when driving, keep the speed down (even on your way out of the neighborhood when you are trying to make the light) and know that everyone appreciates it.  Parents, remind your children of all the safety rules we tell them daily and hope they always remember (but don't always).

3. Homeowner Issue Process: We want to thank all those neighbors who have reached out to the Creekview HOA board directly through our email.  The “official” methods for communicating information to homeowners is through the website, creekviewhomeowners.com and via email.  We do often share quick updates, reminders or social postings via Facebook but we also know that many homeowners are on our Facebook group. Sending the board an email is a documented process that we use in order to ensure that we can keep track of any homeowner concerns that are raised.  We certainly are happy to talk live as well, but it helps all of the volunteers on the board to have one place where any issues or concerns can be gathered and worked.  As a reminder, that email address is: This email address is being protected from spambots. 4. Neighborhood upkeep: Thank you to all who have engaged the Architectural Committee and moved forward with various fence repairs!
